Building a Basic Web Page:
I have always had a passion for music, for as long as I can remember, despite with the hearing issues that I have had when I was a young child, growing up with so many ear infections and the surgeries that I had to have, music was my escape, it was my therapy.

Introduction & Ch. 1:
I want to become a musician because I have a passion for music, I listen to music often and I sing often as well because I love music so much and I am in choir, despite wearing a hearing aid, I didn't let that stop me from my love for music, not only having a passion for music, I feel that I have a spiritual connection with music, having so many people to look up to in the music industry is big factor as well, like Michael Jackson, Prince and Whitney Houston.
What making it in the music industry to me is accomplishing goals, like getting signed to a record label and making millions, that you are never broke and being able to pay off bills, feeling like you are unstoppable, also to know that so many people look up to you, would make a person feel proud.
Within 1 year, I hope to be graduating or hoping to have a job by then as well, it is difficult finding a job.
Within five years, I hope to be living on my own and having my credit paid off, my credit is ok but it could definitely be a lot better, I hope to have my dream car as well, which is a Porsche 911, which varies from $129,950 to $148,650, I been wanting one for so long.
Within ten years, I hope to be living in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, still working in music just being happy and healthy, and for sure by then have every bill paid off, no credit cards at all, filling like I have accomplished everything I ever wanted.
Within twenty six years, I hope to still be alive and being surrounded by family and friends and being to travel and by then I hope to be retired and hope I won't have no illnesses at all.

1.) Singer
2.) Audio Engineer
3.) Conductor
4.) Sound Designer
5.) Artist Manager
There is probably a lot more than that, but what is listed is still a lot.
These are jobs, I find most interesting and unique and ones, I would love to pursue.
If I have a band, and every person had a duty/job, this is who will be doing what
1.) My sister Jackie, she is very artistic.
2.) I would be doing the recording engineer, doesn't hurt to have more than one job.
3.) My sister Anjelica( I have 2) would be the videographer.
4.) my stepdad would be the photographer because he loves photography.
5.) My brother would be the web designer, because he likes taking pictures as well and making things and drawing as well.
This is the best I could come up with for who would be my team.
Goals for myself, that I have is to graduate and to get a job in music, and to pay off my credit cards, to get my credit score up.
Instagram: Maybe make a music Instagram to video record myself singing.
My main IG is:Jennkuvmusic1286
Maybe upload to TikTok as well, although I do know soon, that there will be a US version of TikTok that should come out soon, it's supposed to be called M2, but my Tik Tok is:JennBeauty86
Maybe Snapchat YouTube will be useful as well.
My Snapchat is:Jenngemini1
My YouTube is:@LuvlyCondor
And maybe Twitter/X will be helpful as well.
My Twitter/X is:MsGeminichick1.
Some goals I have set for myself are to sing more, I am already in choir at BC, maybe I should join more choir classes, if that would work.
Another goal is maybe volunteer or work, like get a job in a recording studio to get experience and to learn to play the guitar, like I been wanting to, I need to look into getting guitar lessons to learn, maybe next semester, I'll take the class to learn, it would be fun and very cool.
Another goal is take up singing lessons, I was already in voice class at BC, but I am finished, soI'll need to find another way to take singing lessons and work better on memorization for when it comes to music and singing.
Another goal is to go to more concerts, I just to see Wiz Khalifa when he came to Bakersfield in June with my youngest brother and we had a blast, that was our first concert and we went together, that was our highlight for the summer.
In the article on The Guardian.com titled "Aaliyah: Her sound is the R&B blueprint, it discusses things that she accomplished before her death, like by the time she graduated high school, she already had two platinum albums and a few years after that she starred in "Romeo Must Die," alongside Jet Li and DMX.
In her short 22 years of life, she achieved a lot such as movies and she kept coming out with great music and had so many fans and so many people looked up to her, such as Drake and Rihanna and Ciara all said, Aaliyah was an inspiration to them, Drake has a tattoo of Aaliyah on his back.
https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/aug/13/aaliyah-her-sound-is-the-rb-blueprint

1.) The fans are both genders, men and women, as well as children.
2.) A variety of ages, from young kids to adults.
3.) Mainly listen to Spotify and Apple Music and occasionally KCRW.
4.) Occasionally listen to podcasts, like Kreative Kontrol.
5.) Favorite bands that I listen to would have to be "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and The Backstreet Boys as well Dream
6.) Bands from at least 20 years or longer, as I mentioned are Bone Thus-N-Harmony and The Beetles
1.) Forgot About Dre by Dr. Dre featuring Eminem, the meaning behind the song, is a statement by Dr.Dre who said he felt disrespected and overlooked by the music industry and younger artists after a period of inactivity and the challenges with his former label, "Death Row Records," Eminem originally wrote the song's lyrics for himself and Snoop Dogg, but Dr. Dre liked Eminem's "reference vocals" so much that he kept them for the final version, turning it into a track about reminding people of Dre's influential legacy. In the song, there's a guitar playing, it sounds so cool and smooth, I love when in songs, I know what instrument is playing, it makes the song more enjoyable
2.) I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith, the meaning behind the song is a Romantic ballad about cherishing every moment with a loved one, which is inspired by Barbra Streisand's husband James Brolin saying he didn't want to fall asleep because he'd miss her.
It was written by Diane Warren, the song is from the film Armageddon, it expresses a profound desire to be fully present and experience every detail of a relationship.
I love the music video, how it has Liv Tyler, who is actually Steven Tyler's daughter and the love interest of Ben Affleck in the movie, and how in the video it has an actual orchestra in the video.
3.) Rock The Boat by Aaliyah, the meaning behind the song empowering expression of female sexual agency, where Aaliyah's character confidently directs her lover. I love the background music is different from her other songs, it sounds like a guitar is used, as well as a piano and a ton other instruments.
4.) Movin' On by Mya featuring SilkK The Shocker, the meaning behind the song is about a woman, particularly Mya who has a boyfriend who cheats and leaves him to start a relationship with another man, who is played by the rapper on the song, Silkk The Shocker, the instruments used on the song, is an acoustic guitar, electric and base guitar as well as a ukulele and a piano as well as other instruments.
5.) Somebody Like Me by Silkk The Shocker featuring Mya, the meaning behind the song is about someone who is is a good person and is attracted to someone who belongs to a different crowd, so basically opposites attract, which happens often, on the song it sounds like a piano is used and also a guitar and a few other instruments.
6.) Drive Me Crazy by Britney Spears, the meaning is about when a person has feelings for a person, such strong feelings that they become infatuated with the person always having excitement, because the feelings for the person, are so strong, the instruments used on the song is a piano, drums, guitar, a synthesizer and a cowbell.
7.) Larger Than Life by the Backstreet Boys, the meaning behind the song by The Backstreet Boys is the love and support they have for their fans, they appreciate them so much, the instruments used on the songs were synthesizers, drums, electric guitar, and a bass guitar, and Nick Carter, who is the youngest in the group, played the tambourine, while Brian Littrell played an apple shaker and a wood block.
8.) Lovely Las Vegas by Matt Goss, the song meaning is a tribute for Las Vegas by Matt Goss, where he established a successful career performing, as it expresses his deep appreciation and affection for Las Vegas that has become his second home, the instruments are the piano and violin and also a guitar.
9.) No Scrubs by TLC, the meaning behind the song, is about how men who unmotivated, who are financially unstable and are lacking ambition or purpose in life and seem to not care about their significant others, the instruments used on the song are, acoustic guitar, electric percussion and samples.
10.) See You Again By Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth, the meaning behind the song is that it is a tribute to the actor Paul Walker from The Fast and Furious Movies, who passed away in 2o013 in a car accident, and also Charlie Puth because he also had a friend that passed away, the song was written by both Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa, Wiz Khalifa wrote his part of the song in fifteen minutes, it is Wiz Khalifa biggest hit, the instruments used on the song are a piano, synthesizers, a baritone horn, and drums.
1.)Forgot About Dre by Dr. Dre featuring Eminem.
2.) I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith
3.) Rock The Boat by Aaliyah
4.) Movin' On By Mya featuring Silkk The Shocker

9.) Powerful
10.)Thoughtful
11.) Colorful
12.) Sensitive
13.) Optimistic
14.)Free Spirited
15.) Fun
16.) Adventurous
17.) Heart-warming
18.) Playful
19.) Family oriented
20.) Sports enthusiast
What makes me unique, is how I put my family and friends before me, such as if anyone is sick or injured or sad, I check on them constantly, I have been told that I am good person more than once, and I love that it makes me feel appreciated.
I worked with children with disabilities for many years and I got employee of the month, more than once in which it was an honor, I cried.
If I get a job in music, that's what I hope and pray I achieve.
No new projects at the moment, besides being in choir and having a concert coming up and few fundraisers as well.
A few artists that people said I sound like or remind them of is Selena Gomez, Mya and Selena Quintanilla, not when singing in Spanish obviously but in English, I only speak English, but would love to learn other languages.
Some bands I wished I sounded like if I played an instrument would be The Beetles, Paramore, The Go-Go's, Spice Girls and The Dixie Chicks.
For myself honestly, I like a variety of different types of music, but to pin point, one person to sound like, I just sound like myself, I don't want people to say that I am copying someone else and get a lot of hate.
Ten artists for me as, I hope would inspire me to sound like though are:
1.) Aaliyah
2.) Mya
3.) Christina Aguilera
4.) Christina Milian
5.) Beyonce
6.) Carrie Underwood
7.) Celine Dion
8.) Mariah Carey
9.) Kehlani
10.) Tori Kelley
As for looking up 15 different, from what I found it says,
1.) Downtown Bakersfield
2.) Old Town Kern
3.) Stockdale
4.) Riverwalk
5.) Panorama Bluffs
6.) Northwest Promenade
7.) The Trails
8.) Seven Oaks
9.) Country Club
10.) Southwest Bakersfield
11.) East Bakersfield
12.) Northeast Bakersfield
13.) Kern River County Park
14.) Olde Stockdale
15.) Bakersfield College Area
For myself for 10 similar artists and fans that I hope will like me if I become a singer and well-known, here are the artists
1.) Karen Mendoza
2.) Mya
3.) Pink often stylized as P!nk
4.) Christina Milian
5.) Christina Aguilera
6.) TLC
7.) Jessica Simpson
8.) Aaliyah
9.) Tori Kelley
10.) Halsey
Pink's style is like an edgy look and when she started, to go with her name, she had short spiked pink hair. Aaliyah when she started out, she was a tomboy, she wore baggy clothes but still beautiful.
Jessica Simpson was laid back, there were moments where she dressed casual and other moments where she would dress up, especially for awards shows.
Tori Kelley had a different style, she had curly hair, where as pretty much other female singers had straight hair or braids.
Mya dressed different as well, hers was sophisticated and edgy, street fashion, she grew up singing from an early age and grew up tsp dancing as well.
TLC's style were baggy oversized clothing, bold patterns as well as individual flair which was often with a futuristic or rebellious edge.
Karen Mendoza isn't as well known as other singers, she is more of mainstream singer, she isn't signed to a record label, but she does have one million followers on Instagram, her style, I would say, is a mixture of Mya and Tori Kelley.
Halsey's style is a mixture of fancy and edgy, like similar to Aaliyah, maybe Aaliyah was her inspiration.
Christina's Aguilera when she first came out, her style was definitely the 2000's vibe, because she came out in 1999, because she released her first song at 18, like right before the 2000's so that was her style then and now her style today is more bold, diverse and theatrical.
Christina Milian's style is casual and bold and occasionally edgy, for example ripped jeans and as well as sophisticated and glam when it comes to special events
The Entrepreneurial Interview Profile Assignment
I at first was going to interview a few family members, but I don't have anyone in my family that work in the music industry or have a love for music, like I do, I was almost going to interview either my cousin's Marisol or Melissa, my cousin Marisol is actually a sociology Professor at BC, and my cousin Melissa works at Kaiser, not sure what she does though, but then I thought it would be cool to reach out to someone who works and owns a recording studio, that is when I found Bakersfield Music & Recording Studios, the owner who is named Reginald "Reggie," Langen was very nice and gave great information.
He didn't say if he has children or siblings or is married, I didn't ask, I thought that was too personal to ask.
He says he has a appreciation and respect for hip-hop and rap, he doesn't per se have a favorite kind of music that he records, he says he'll record any kind and he also makes beats as well, he also teaches guitar and has audio engineering classes as well, which is very cool.
I asked him ten questions, which I thought was a good amount and the call was twenty three minutes long.
The questions I asked:
1.) What is your name? Reginald "Reggie," Langen.
2.) Where did you grow up? Born and raised in Germany.
3.) What made you want to pursue music? A Elvis Presley Tv special, but before that he didn't have a love for music yet or want to pursue music, didn't speak English yet, his mother suggested to him to pursue music.
4.) What is a big challenge you find in your industry? Starting a studio, took a year in a half to get things going, upgrading the studio was a lot of money.
5.) What is a specific challenge you've faced in your profession? Getting the studio started, since the marketing is different from Germany and he didn't know anyone when he first moved to Bakersfield.
6.) What are some reasons for a specific success you've had? He says his music education was abroad, such as live recording, worked with a lot of Mexican bands. He also mentioned working with Jonathan Davis who is the lead singer of Korn, who is a very well known nu metal band from Bakersfield, Ca.
7.) How has your approach to your career changed over the years? He mentions not too much has changed over the years, he always stays up to date.
8.) How do you market yourself? He says Facebook is helpful, that's where he is most active, in the 90's weekly radio programs, was a big deal.
9.) Do you have advice for people looking to enter your field? He says it's good to learn everything about music combine everything, get involved in a lot of Mexican bands.
10.Goals you hope to accomplish in the future ? Keep doing the job and work with interesting projects and do a variety of music and continue working. COVID was a tough time and hopes to win the lottery.
He was a very chill person, and very nice, I was nervous about interviewing him, since I never interviewed anyone before until now, I have been interviewed multiple times for jobs, but to interview someone myself, was honestly nerve racking but there is a first time for everything right, so it was very enjoyable to do.
I want to work in the music industry, like work as an audio technician or just anything involving music, which is why I chose to someone in the music industry.
I interviewed Reginald "Reggie," Langen on Tuesday September 16th 2025 at 10:30 am, because he has a busy schedule this week, so that was the day available for him, to be interviewed.
Call Recording
00:00 / 23:51
The audio of the phone call, the interview.
He also sent me a few pictures, so I uploaded them, down below.
At the end of the call, you may hear a microphone, I have one and it fell over towards the end of the call, and it turned on.

Chapter 7 blogpost:
Looking up different singers and bands, was interesting and took a lot longer then I thought, but it was insightful though, the singers and bands I looked up were mostly women, but it is nice to see there are a lot more women then I thought in the music business, didn't realize how many local bands and singers there were, until I looked it up, which is great.

Chapter 12: Blogpost
For Me, since I don't work, for a fan club platform, that I would like to use, that I think would be beginner friendly is either Topfan or Onelive.
Copyright Infringement and MMA Assignment
I chose to do the assignment on Miley Cyrus, because she is very well known and was curious if there was a copyright infringement lawsuit on her, and there happen to be that it is true.
There is one for her song "Flowers," because a company called Tempo Music Investments, LLC in 2024, the company alleges that "Flowers," infringes on the copyright of Bruno Mars song "When I Was Your Man," which came out in 2013.
The song Flowers was recorded in January 2022, in Sunset Sounds Recorders in Hollywood, California.
And the song When I Was Your Man was recorded in Los Angeles, California at Levon Studios, sometime in 2012.
The company Tempo believes the melody, harmony and lyrics, have similarities.
Miley and her team try to make an attempt to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that Tempo lacked legal rights to sue, but a judge denied this bid in March of this year, allowing the case to proceed.
The case has not been settled, its ongoing.
The writers of the song Flowers, that Miley sings is from Tyler Johnson (Producer), Michael Pollack and Brian Rajaratnam (Engineers and Mixers) and Miley co-wrote with them as well.
And the song by Bruno Mars, was written by Bruno Mars, himself along with Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine and Andrew Wyatt.

Tempo Music is suing Miley Cyrus for alleged copyright infringement over her song "Flowers," claiming it copies elements of Bruno Mars's "When I Was Your Man."
The case has not been settled yet, it is still ongoing.
My thoughts on the case is that I believe, that both parties should come to a respectful agreement and not hold grudges, against one another, and keep things civil.

The Piktochart, I created, I thought it was fun to make and I think it came out cute.
The Music Modernization Act
The Music Modernization Act or for short, (MMA), it was signed into law in 2018, and it updates U.S. copyright law to benefit creators and streamline digital music licensing by creating a blanket licensing system for mechanical royalties, extending copyright to pre-1972 recordings, and creating a path for producers and engineers to receive royalties.
The act established the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) to collect and distribute these mechanical royalties to songwriters and publishers.
My understanding of the MMA is that I like how it widely and respectfully praised it is for updating music copyright law for the digital age, and that it is bringing equalness to songwriters and artists by increasing royalty processes and coming up with blanket licensing system for streaming service to use all musical works.
The act I liked the most out of the MMA is the second title, the Classics in music, that before the Classics Act,pre-1972 sound recordings were protected, which seemed to be the most respected only by state laws, which created a complex and inconsistent legal landscape. The Act puts them together under federal copyright law, which gives consent for application often of legal protectors.
