Assignment #1
Hello, my name is Jennifer Perez, I have three brothers and two sisters, I am the oldest girl, I would not say I have one particular favorite type of music, I will listen to country and jazz, as well as hip-hop and rap and r&b.
I want to learn to play the guitar, I been saying it for so long, my birthday is coming up in June, so I hope to get one for my birthday, but I am already going to New York for choir, and that already will be expensive, but I am so excited.
Assignment #2
One thing for sure, that I find exciting in general in working in R&B music, which is my favorite type of music, is that modern R&B artists and professionals can build sustainable careers independently, without relying on traditional major label systems. This allows for greater creative control and direct ownership of music.
And something about music in general is over saturation, financial instability, and the pressure to manage both creative and business tasks. However, many of these hurdles can be made easier through modern tools, strategic planning, and shifting perspectives.
Assignment #3
1st tutorial and 1st synth assignment
The three tracks, I put together are 113 Romantic Upright, 118 VibeyRhodes and 125 Saloon Upright.
The song I made, it says it is 5 minutes and 52 seconds, I don't think it is that long, maybe two minutes, but not close to 6.

Assignment #4
For this assignment, I used the website called
synth.playtronics.com, which is a browser-based, interactive sound generators and musical apps designed to be triggered by MIDI devices, especially the Playtronica Plastron or TouchMe.
This is a great website for beginners, very user friendly.

Assignment #5:
I had the honor of doing a Podcast interview, with two people that I like and respect from MUSC B32, named Ana and Angelina, we talked about a variety of things, the interview was about 48 minutes, we talked about dating, and epilepsy and PCOS and among other health issues that women go through daily, I had no idea that Ana has seizures, I had them when I was younger and my sister had them, seeing my sister have them was a scary situation and I have a nephew that is two that has had one seizure and myself and Ana both PCOS, which is a hormone disorder that women get, where women get cysts on their ovaries and make it difficult for women to get pregnant, we talked about jobs we had before, myself and Angelina both worked with people with disabilities, working with people with disabilities takes a lot of patience, some challenges in that were as I said having patience, was the main thing.
I know the assignment was not supposed to be more then seven minutes, but when you talk to people that it more comfortable, everything just flows and you just talk about a variety of things, we also talked about our upbringing as well, and how our parents and grandparents are our biggest supporters.
The Podcast interview: I tried putting the podcast here, but it said the file is too long, so I'll put it in the comments, where the assignment will go.
Assignment #6 Synthesizer assignment.
The process of making the synthesizer, was surprisingly simple, I used Bandlab for my assignment, it has always been the most simple for me, when it comes/came making songs in general, I like the combination of the finesse synthesizer and the vista synth, the reason behind choosing those synthesizer is they sound so different but still mesh well together, there was not any difficulty in using either one, the total time length is 1 minute and 23.2 seconds.

Hello Professor Ottum, wasn't sure if the class was supposed to make their own Podcast, so I made my own as well as the synthesizer song, so I hope you enjoy and have a fun and safe summer.
I wanted to upload a video or audio of myself talking about what I am going through, what my diagnoses are and what I will have to do for treatment.
I just wanted to it since like I said in the video, I have a history of seizures and my sister Jackie does as well and I also had a lot of ear infections and had surgeries and tubes put in both ears when I was a kid.
